Breckenridge, Colorado

Breckenridge is a quaint mountain town tucked away in the the Ten Mile Range.  The 151 year old Victorian town includes one of the state's largest National Historic  Dictricts with 249 struuctures.  Breckenridge, which was founded in 1859,when gold was discovered in the Blue river, is now one of the leading resort destinations for both winter and summer activities.

Winter brings unique events to Breckenridge which bustles with an vibrant dining sccene, a thriving arts district and of course lots of snow. Breckenridge boasts the highest chairlift in North America at 12,840 feet above sea level.  Year in and year out Breckenridge is ranked in the top one of two resorts in the country for the most skier visits in the United States. Not to be overshadowed by winter, summers are truly spectacular.  With the cool mountain air flowers florish on the hill sides.  Bikers can take advantage of the of hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails.  Bike paths connect all the towns and resorts.  Adventurious souls can ride all four mountain passes in the same day.  The Breckenridge Golf Club, with 27 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus will challange the best golfers.
